Perform thorough client discovery and data gathering to understand family, business, and financial circumstances.,Review client situations, short-term and long-term goals to develop strategic solutions for family, business, charitable giving (including Donor Advised Funds), international trusts, and wealth/legacy plans.,Generate proposals focusing on planning and wealth transfer objectives, incorporating tax observations.,Develop and promote sales ideas and effective business practices to identify opportunities and capture assets.,Deliver the RBC planning client experience to high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients with complex needs.,Consult with advisors on complex planning cases, including estate, insurance, business succession planning, and trust reviews.,Conduct 'point of sale' presentations with advisors to drive holistic wealth planning.,Contribute to and develop original thought leadership content for clients, media, Financial Advisors, and the firm.,Conduct targeted training and development programs focused on cross-border planning concepts.,Contribute content and present on various topics for the wealth planning and client strategies teams.,Assist and train both Canadian and US-based Financial Advisors on key cross-border financial planning concepts and product solutions.,Develop and maintain a regular communication plan to support US and Canadian-based teams.,Manage assigned territory, tracking and reporting weekly travel, business activities, and CRM requirements.
Bachelor's degree in business or related field (advanced degree preferred),12+ years of Financial Services industry experience with significant expertise in estate or planning products,Cross-border planning and tax knowledge,In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and securities industry licenses 7 and 66 (or 7, 63 and 65),Experience with design and implementation of training programs,Knowledge of vendors and their products/programs,JD and/or CPA (Nice-to-have),MBA (Nice-to-have),CFP, CPWA, CLU and/or ChFC designation (Nice-to-have),Insurance Advanced Marketing experience (Nice-to-have)
