Wealth Planning Specialist

Description

As a member of Private Wealth Management, the Wealth Planning Specialist partners with TD advisors to offer high-value, customized guidance on retirement, tax, estate, and overall wealth planning to high-net-worth (HNW) clients. The role also involves assisting with business development, identifying opportunities, generating revenue, and executing TD Wealth's HNW strategy. This is an experienced practitioner role leveraging expertise within TD Wealth and Wealth Advisory Services.

What We're Looking For

Provide professional financial, tax, estate, and risk management planning support and solutions to qualifying clients.,Assist advisors and relationship managers with business development, opportunity spotting, and revenue generation.,Execute TD Wealth's high net worth strategy.,Prepare customized wealth plans based on client information.,Carry out independent research to address client's key issues (retirement, tax, philanthropic, estate planning).,Stay informed of relevant wealth planning developments and inform TD partners.,Proactively spot, anchor, introduce, and follow up on opportunities for complimentary businesses and solutions.,Develop and maintain effective relationships with TD Wealth advisors and relationship managers.,Deliver wealth planning presentations to Advisors and clients.,Work closely and assist other WAS team members with preparing comprehensive wealth plans.,Develop strong internal and external networks and referral sources.,Ensure appropriate service levels to maximize role profitability, minimize costs, and manage business to avoid financial losses and reputational damage.

Ideal Candidate

Undergraduate degree.,Accredited financial planning designation (CFP, PFP).,8 years of relevant experience in all aspects of Wealth Planning.,Complex Financial Planning experience.,Effective communication skills in English, both oral and written.,Strong analytical and judgment skills.,Computer skills: Microsoft Office, Naviplan, Voyant or CCH (Financial Planning software).,Ability to work both as part of a team and independently.,Minimum 8 years of financial or wealth planning experience gained at an accounting firm or financial institution.,A self-starter with the ability to work independently and to provide high quality services to clients.,Excellent people and relationship building skills.,Strong communication, presentation, time management, and organizational skills.,Professional designation such as (CPA, CA, CMA, CGA, CFA, LLB, JD) is an asset.,Investment and insurance industry knowledge are strong assets.
