Wealth Planning Associate

Description

This is a 24-month development program within RBC Wealth Management designed to equip individuals with the necessary knowledge and skills to become successful wealth planners. Participants will learn from experts, acquire accredited wealth planning designations (CFP preferred), engage in e-learning, case studies, and hands-on training. Upon program completion, individuals will join a Financial Advisor team to deliver goals-based wealth management advice to clients, including developing and presenting wealth plans.

What We're Looking For

Learn from wealth planning experts and top Financial Advisors,Successfully obtain an accredited wealth planning designation (CFP preferred, other credentials like CFA, CPA, AWM considered),Possess Series 7 and Series 66 licenses and pursue designation during the program,Work directly with Financial Advisor teams in the assigned territory, including the Minneapolis home office and local territory,Contribute to the development of RBC WealthPlans and present plans to clients,Proactively engage FA teams and lead financial planning meetings to deliver advice and solutions,Understand and communicate the benefits of goals-based client relationships,Drive productivity using best-in-class tools for an exceptional client experience,Provide comprehensive wealth management advice to existing clients and attract new ones,Conduct discovery conversations, discuss wealth plan results, illustrate solutions, and perform annual reviews

Ideal Candidate

Bachelor's degree with emphasis in personal finance (preferred),SIE, Series 7, Series 66 licenses,Accredited wealth planning designation (CFP®) or ability to obtain within two years of start date,2+ years of financial planning or closely related experience in the financial services industry, preferably with a broker-dealer or other large financial advisory firm (nice-to-have)
