VP, UI Software Engineering Lead

Description

This role is for a highly motivated and experienced UI/UX engineer to lead a team in designing and implementing next-generation financial analytics and business process automation platforms within TD Securities. The individual will contribute to the product strategy, lead other engineers, and develop innovative, performant, and reusable web-based solutions.

What We're Looking For

Lead the creation of comprehensive end-to-end detailed solutions.,Develop and maintain technical solutions adhering to engineering and architectural design principles.,Provide technical expertise focusing on efficiency, reliability, scalability, and security.,Develop and document detailed solution designs and act as an application SME.,Accountable for complex applications/systems development and programming.,Develop functional, technical, and user interface designs.,Consult on development of requirements and specifications.,Review technical deliverables for quality and adherence.,Identify, recommend, and implement improvements.,Work with Technology partners to define metrics and performance goals.,Identify and address application and data issues.,Research/analyze business requirements to recommend optimal solutions.,Ensure environment modifications interact appropriately.,Contribute to the advancement of the TD engineering practice.,Conduct code reviews.,Monitor service, productivity, and assess efficiency levels.,Lead/facilitate and/or implement actions/remediation plans.,Manage relationships with internal and external partners.,Identify and manage risks.,Keep abreast of emerging issues, trends, and regulatory requirements.,Participate in teamwork, knowledge sharing, and mentoring.,Keep current on emerging trends/developments.,Participate in personal performance management.,Keep others informed about project status.,Actively mentor and enable team members.,Support the team by providing guidance and resolving issues.,Contribute to a fair, positive, and equitable environment.,Act as a brand ambassador.

Ideal Candidate

Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.,Strong academic background.,Graduate degree nice to have.,Experience in the financial industry is preferred.,Knowledge of common financial concepts is a plus.,Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.,Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners.,Maintaining primary ownership of hands-on development work.,Self-starting, high-performing.,Passionate about innovative, industry-leading technology solutions.,Excited about learning and growing professionally.,Enjoys working with people who are best at what they do.,Highly motivated self-starter with broad experience in UI/UX engineering.,Involved in all facets of product and software development.,Actively contribute to strategy and vision.,Hands-on, broadly experienced engineer.,Enjoys working with different levels of individuals.,Takes great pride in leading other engineers.,Excited to tackle highly complex solutions through innovative implementations.,Yields highly flexible, performant, portable, and reusable systems.

Minimum Education

Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline. Strong academic background.
