Description

This role at TD Bank involves managing and optimizing the bank's global clearing network, particularly in Asia Pacific currencies. The individual will be responsible for executing strategy, overseeing risk and compliance, managing key institutional clearing relationships, and driving operational efficiency. It requires collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to improve service quality, reduce costs, and support the bank’s strategic objectives in clearing, payments, treasury, and liquidity.

What We're Looking For

Serve as primary contact for Asia Pacific currency clearing relationships, managing escalations and resolving complex matters.,Develop and execute network optimization strategies to enhance service quality and cost efficiency.,Conduct due diligence, ongoing monitoring, and periodic risk assessments of network counterparties.,Negotiate service agreements, pricing structures, and performance benchmarks.,Ensure correspondent relationships comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.,Collaborate with Compliance, Legal, and Risk teams on AML, KYC, and counterparty risk.,Work with internal teams to enhance liquidity management, payment flows, and treasury settlements.,Identify and implement process improvements, automation, and technology solutions.,Partner with Operations, Treasury, Markets, and other business units to address network-related challenges.,Prepare and present insights on network performance, market trends, and strategic recommendations to senior management.,Represent the bank in industry forums, regulatory discussions, and network-related engagements.

Ideal Candidate

University degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.,10+ years relevant industry experience in wholesale banking, treasury operations or correspondent banking.,Prior experience in network management and/or international clearing product management (preferred).,Strong understanding of cross-border payments (including SWIFT and SWIFT alternatives), nostro account structures and treasury/securities settlement.,Strong understanding of emerging market clearing, regulations and multi-currencies settlement.,Proven ability to manage external financial institution relationships and lead negotiations, particularly with banks in the Asia Pacific region.,Strong risk management acumen, including experience with operational risk, counterparty risk, AML/KYC, and regulatory compliance.
