VP, Equity Research - Aerospace & Defense Technology, TD Securities

Description

TD Cowen is seeking a Vice President for its Equity Research team in New York. The role involves working closely with a Senior Research Analyst, focusing on building and maintaining financial models, performing financial analysis, writing investment research reports, and conducting industry surveys and competitive assessments within the Aerospace & Defense and/or Technology sectors. The VP will have significant responsibility, engaging with company managements, sales and trading teams, and investors, while conducting comprehensive analysis to publish high-quality research and provide insights for advisory services.

What We're Looking For

Build and maintain financial models.,Perform financial analysis and due diligence.,Write investment-driven research reports.,Develop and field industry surveys and undertake a wide array of industry analyses and competitive assessments.,Lead in the compilation and evaluation of multiple data inputs for companies/industries and/or financial markets and economic analysis research reports.,Publish high quality, comprehensive analysis and research on industry sectors and companies and/or financial markets and economic development.,Develop business relationships and generate profits from producing and sharing regular research publications.,Provide service to clients (internal and external) in the form of information, expertise, analysis, and opinions.,Keep abreast of market data, economic information, and key industry developments, as well as internal policies and regulatory standards.,Demonstrate governance, control, and risk management behaviors in alignment with TD policies and practices.,Adhere to enterprise frameworks or methodologies.,Consistently exercise discretion in managing correspondence, information, and all matters of confidentiality.,Participate in cross-functional/enterprise initiatives as a subject matter expert.,Conduct internal and external research projects; support the development/delivery of presentations and communications.,Conduct meaningful analysis at the functional or enterprise level using results to draw conclusions, make recommendations, assess the effectiveness of programs/policies/practices.,Monitor service, productivity, and assess efficiency levels within own function and implement continuous process/performance improvements.,Actively manage relationships within and across various business lines.,Maintain a culture of risk management and control.,Participate fully as a member of the team, support a positive work environment.,Provide thought leadership and/or industry knowledge for own area of expertise and participate in knowledge transfer.,Keep current on emerging trends/developments and grow knowledge of the business, related tools, and techniques.,Participate in personal performance management and development activities.,Lead, motivate, and develop relationships with internal and external business partners/stakeholders.,Contribute to a fair, positive, and equitable environment that supports a diverse workforce.

Ideal Candidate

Undergraduate degree.,FINRA SIE, Series 63, 86, & 87, or willing to obtain.,5+ years related experience.,Demonstrated background in Aerospace & Defense Technology, whether in Equity Research, consulting or other strong industry experience (preferred).,Masters or PhD (preferred).,CFA designation preferred for publishing analysts and associates.
