This is a senior leadership position at CAA-Québec, offering the opportunity to significantly influence the future of the insurance sector within the organization. The Vice-President of Insurance will be responsible for defining an ambitious vision, ensuring its rigorous implementation, and driving measurable, sustainable performance. Reporting to the Senior Vice-President, Membership and Insurance, and as a member of the executive committee, this role involves guiding the growth and evolution of the insurance portfolio (property and casualty, travel, and personal insurance), ensuring profitable growth, impeccable governance, a distinctive member experience, and strong strategic partnerships with insurers. The role also involves fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment and influencing CAA-Québec's strategic direction.
Ensure the relevance, competitiveness, and profitability of the property and casualty, travel, and personal insurance product portfolio for members.,Participate in the development of strategic plans, annual business plans, and marketing plans.,Lead the introduction and deployment of new insurance lines from conception to market launch.,Supervise corporate insurance underwriting activities and evolve practices based on market trends, emerging risks, and business objectives.,Administer and optimize agreements with partner insurers and maintain structured business relationships.,Coordinate activities with insurer partners and distribution networks, while supervising operational team managers.,Optimize the efficiency of operations for the property and casualty insurance agency and the personal insurance firm.,Contribute to the implementation and evolution of the internal governance framework for insurance and risk management.,Ensure compliance with ethical standards and the requirements of regulatory and self-regulatory bodies.,Lead, develop, and mobilize teams towards strategic and operational objectives, promoting a culture of performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.,Actively contribute to the work and decisions of the executive committee.
Bachelor's degree in administration, finance, actuarial science, law, or a related field (MBA or complementary training is an asset).,Minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience in the insurance sector, including ten (10) years of team management experience.,Strong expertise in property and casualty insurance, good knowledge of personal insurance, and a deep understanding of distribution models.,Experience within an executive committee.,Mastery of end-to-end insurance operations and demonstrated ability to optimize performance.,Strong client and growth orientation, with a demonstrated ability to create value for members and the organization.,Solid financial understanding and ability to manage the performance and profitability of a business portfolio.,Ability to mobilize a team around clear objectives and create a climate conducive to collaboration and performance.,Ability to define clear directions aligned with organizational priorities.,Ability to evolve in complex environments and support teams through transformations.,Experience in governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management in an insurance environment.,Excellent communication and representation skills, both internally and externally.,Proficiency in French and English, both oral and written.
