Vice President, Global Investment Banking, Software

Description

This role supports the Software vertical within the Investment Banking Technology team at RBC Capital Markets in San Francisco. Responsibilities include executing transactions, developing new business and client relationships, leading quantitative financial analyses, monitoring market activity and trends, and collaborating with junior team members on client materials.

What We're Looking For

Support the Software vertical within the Investment Banking Technology team.,Lead transaction execution, new business presentations and meetings.,Develop client relationships and business opportunities.,Lead quantitative analyses including DCF, LBO, comparable multiples, M&A combination analysis, and credit analysis.,Monitor software sector transactions, market activity, company financial statements, industry trends, regulatory developments, and economic conditions.,Work with Associates and Analysts in development of pitch books and related client materials.,Coordinate with Industry, Product and other groups to evaluate and originate new business ideas / opportunities.,Build RBC's presence in the software sector.,Maintain high standards of professional and ethical conduct.

Ideal Candidate

Bachelor's degree and top-tier MBA, MA, or MS (or equivalent advanced degree).,Minimum 5 years of Investment Banking experience.,Solid understanding of capital markets and spreadsheet modeling.,Outstanding quantitative and qualitative analytical skills.,Strong knowledge of finance and accounting.,Demonstrated senior presence and interpersonal maturity.,Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.,Highly motivated with a demonstrated ability to manage conflicting priorities and requests.,Proficiency with personal computers and standard productivity applications.,Ability to take initiative and function independently balanced with strong teaming skills.,Strong written and oral communication skills.,Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to maintain relationships at all levels of the organization.,Holds Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 79 and Series 63 licenses.
