This role is for a Compliance Officer within the TDS US Compliance Regulatory Initiatives Team, focused on developing, maintaining, and enhancing TD's Volcker Rule Compliance program. The individual will provide interpretive guidance, conduct second-line challenges, collaborate with internal stakeholders, draft policies, create and deliver training, and support the implementation of supervisory controls.
Build, maintain, and enhance TD's Firm-wide Volcker Rule Compliance program.,Provide real-time interpretive guidance on Volcker Rule requirements, industry trends, and best practices.,Provide effective second-line challenge to TD's Volcker Rule Compliance Program, including developing and implementing monitoring protocols.,Work closely with TD's Volcker Office and various firm stakeholders (e.g., change delivery, regulatory reporting, front office).,Draft interpretive memoranda and maintain relevant policies and procedures.,Develop, maintain, and deliver electronic and live Volcker Rule compliance trainings.,Assist the business and support functions with implementing and documenting supervisory controls and operational processes.,Act as a key point of contact for Volcker-related internal and external inquiries.,Participate in internal investigations, draft responses to regulatory examination questions, and coordinate audits.,Analyze regulatory changes and developments, advising stakeholders on impacts.,Provide actionable guidance, advice, implementation support, and issue-spotting in a fast-paced environment.
BA/BS, or a similar degree, required (JD desirable but not required).,Experience as a Volcker Rule Compliance Officer at a complex financial services institution.,Strong understanding of the Volcker Rule and its application across diverse businesses and products.,5-7 years of experience with a registered US broker dealer, swap dealer, Global Systematically Important Bank (GSIB), or associated regulator.,Firm understanding of global security and derivative products and markets, including trading behaviors and operational elements.,Firm understanding of financial product rules and regulatory landscape.,Advanced understanding of testing or audit concepts and principles, as well as control analysis and evaluation.
