Vendor Management Specialist

Description

This role is responsible for the complete management of vendor relationships, specifically those related to instruments and critical components. This includes acting as the main point of contact, conducting performance reviews, managing contracts, leading the onboarding of new vendors, coordinating with internal teams, and serving as the primary escalation point for issues. The goal is to foster strong partnerships and ensure strategic alignment and seamless product delivery.

What We're Looking For

Manage the full lifecycle of vendor relationships, focusing on instruments and critical components.,Conduct periodic vendor performance reviews and collaborate on improvements.,Serve as the primary relationship owner and foster positive partnerships.,Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for all vendor contracts, conducting thorough reviews.,Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Management and stakeholders for new vendor onboarding.,Coordinate internal SMEs for specialized topics.,Function as the primary escalation point for critical issues and customer pain points.,Liaise with the Quality Assurance (QA) team on change management and Supplier Quality Agreements.,Facilitate and coordinate cross-functional communication.,Lead the vendor selection process with input from QA, finance, and technical teams.

Ideal Candidate

Education: A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related technical field.,Experience: A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in vendor management, procurement, sourcing, or a related role.,Demonstrated experience in contract negotiation and management, including Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and contractual terms.,Proven ability to build and maintain strong, positive relationships with third-party vendors.,Experience in vendor selection and performance review processes, including analyzing performance metrics and driving improvements.,Experience with change management and ensuring compliance with quality assurance (QA) and regulatory requirements, especially concerning supplier agreements.
