The Data Scientist will analyze, design, and implement data science and machine learning (ML) solutions using RBC's analytics tools. The role involves exploring large datasets for new insights, applying ML and statistical modeling to understand business environments, identify growth opportunities, and improve business processes for RBC US Wealth Management. This individual will collaborate with stakeholders, prepare and transform data, develop and deploy scalable ML solutions using Python and R, and use visualization tools to communicate data-driven insights with actionable recommendations. The role also requires quickly learning and adapting new methods, tools, and technologies and effectively communicating findings to partners and executives.
Analyze, design, and implement data science/machine learning solutions using RBC's enterprise analytics tools.,Review large data sets to explore and discover new insights.,Apply machine learning and statistical modeling techniques to understand business environments, discover growth opportunities, and identify business improvements.,Collaborate with key business partners and stakeholders to understand objectives and problem statements.,Prepare and transform data (structured/non-structured).,Develop and deploy ML solutions at scale.,Prepare and integrate large and varied datasets, and implement statistical and ML models using Python and R.,Leverage visualization tools/packages to convey data-driven insights with actionable recommendations.,Quickly learn new methods, tools, and technologies from research communities.,Effectively communicate findings to business partners and executives.,Work in the wealth management industry, developing analyses and models for financial advisors and senior management.,Create automated Data ETL processes using scripting languages (Python/SQL) to consolidate data.,Create data features for machine learning.,Automate and document data analysis processes using Python, including transitioning work to production support.,Transform and analyze large datasets, including historical transactional data, to develop insights and identify anomalies.,Design, development, and implementation experience with data science projects using scripting languages (Python, Java, R, and SQL).,Ability to code, explain, and select intermediate machine learning models (Random Forest, XGBoost, and K-means).,Increase adoption of models by educating business users on the modeling process and reliability.
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field and 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate related work experience.,OR Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field and 3 years of related work experience.
