Description

This role at National Bank involves acting as a credit expert and trusted advisor within the Commercial Banking team. It focuses on ensuring timely and effective credit underwriting for new and existing clients, meeting risk management objectives, client satisfaction, and portfolio growth. The position requires collaboration with internal teams, leveraging financial analysis, and applying sound credit structuring and risk evaluation. Key responsibilities include influencing client outcomes by serving as the primary contact for daily operations and inquiries, and identifying opportunities to enhance client experience and support business development. This is a temporary, full-time position for 12 months.

What We're Looking For

Ensure timely and effective credit underwriting for new and existing borrowing clients.,Meet the objectives of prudent risk management, client satisfaction, and portfolio growth.,Realize full-service client solutions by collaborating with internal teams and leveraging financial analysis.,Apply sound credit structuring and risk evaluation aligned with internal and regulatory standards.,Act as the primary contact for daily operations and inquiries to influence client outcomes.,Identify opportunities to enhance client experience and support business development.,Min. 2+ years of underwriting experience in commercial lending.,3+ years of experience in business banking, commercial lending, or financial services.,Knowledge of credit underwriting, financial analysis, and risk management.,Experience in client relationship management and commercial portfolio support.,Strong organizational and technical skills with a desire for continuous learning.,Available to travel locally to support client engagement and market development.

Ideal Candidate

Bachelor's degree in commerce, finance, or accounting (or equivalent experience).
