Truck shunter and forklift driver

Description

This role involves operating forklifts to move merchandise, inspect and maintain equipment, prepare orders, and supply conveyors within the warehouse. It also includes truck shunting responsibilities such as moving trucks and trailers around the yard and to nearby buildings, backing them into loading docks, ensuring safe positioning, and loading/unloading cargo.

What We're Looking For

Perform tasks related to forklift use, including moving merchandise, inspecting, and performing minor maintenance/repairs.,Prepare orders and supply conveyors.,Move trucks and trailers within the yard and to nearby buildings.,Back trailers into designated loading/unloading docks and ensure safe positioning.,Load and unload trucks.,Possess strong communication and teamwork skills.,Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.,Exhibit attention to detail and commitment to safety.,Ability to work in varying weather conditions.,Ability to perform manual tasks like coupling and uncoupling trailers.,Follow all safety guidelines, procedures, and operating procedures for equipment.,Ability to move boxes.,Demonstrate accuracy.,Be courteous and polite.,Holding a valid class 1 or 3 license is required for articulated truck drivers.,Proficiency in spoken French or English.,Experience in a similar warehouse role is preferred.,Mechanical knowledge is an asset.
