Transportation Manager

Description

The Transportation Manager ensures that logistics operations run smoothly, efficiently, and safely, significantly contributing to the overall success of Saputo. This is a temporary role with a duration of 12 months.

What We're Looking For

Manage the performance of the Transportation Team and key stakeholders using positive coaching and communication skills.,Collaborate with cross-functional partners to optimize transportation initiatives, aiming for improved operational efficiency, cost reduction, and enhanced service levels.,With a continuous improvement mindset, develop, lead, and execute best practice initiatives and projects focused on optimizing the Supply Chain network.,Establish annual business plans and budgets, emphasizing efficiency and reducing operating costs within the transportation network.,Participate in contract and rate negotiations and the onboarding of new partners.,Act as a liaison between carriers and various internal departments.,Ensure that transport operations are carried out in accordance with standard operating procedures.,Prioritize Health & Safety and Food Safety, while actively promoting Saputo's culture and values.,Demonstrate integrity in all business activities with employees, suppliers, and freight carriers.

Ideal Candidate

Bachelor's degree,Microsoft Office,AS400,Organizational skills,Logistics background,Business acumen,Communication skills,Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards,Additional certifications in logistics or transportation management are beneficial

Work Hours

Core work hours Monday to Friday 8 am to 5 pm, with flexibility required based on business needs.
