Description

This role is for a Temporary Analyst in Corporate Banking, reporting to the Director, Corporate Banking Asia. The successful candidate will provide essential credit analysis, documentation, and transactional support, while also assisting in managing existing credit relationships with clients. This involves staying informed about client needs, industry trends, regulatory changes, and economic conditions to tailor financing solutions.

What We're Looking For

Assist in credit and financial analysis for existing clients and new financing opportunities,Assist in research and analysis of information and drafting credit proposals,Liaise with various CIBC internal units (Operations, Settlement, Financial Control, Technology, Legal, Financial Crime Compliance, Client Services, Corporate Banking Business Management, Risk Management),Assist in managing existing relationships with CB HK's clients and potential clients,Assist in day-to-day management of credit files, including annual reviews, monthly and ad hoc updates,Ensure CIBC's lending activities align with AML/KYC due diligence processes,Work with Director to ensure KYC and AML compliance for new account opening and periodic reviews,Assist in transaction monitoring tasks/reports,Support Director for day-to-day account management and deposit booking,Support Director to develop new client relationships and generate loan commitments

Ideal Candidate

Bachelor's degree in Business,Excellent analytical ability including demonstrated knowledge of valuation techniques and practices, including cash flow analysis,Thorough understanding of Corporate Finance theories and practices, financial analysis skills, including financial modeling capability using Excel,Good understanding of financial statements and accounting principles,Basic understanding of financial models to assist in structuring transactions and perform sensitivity analysis,Basic understanding of derivative products for cross-selling opportunities
