Description

The Teller I at TD Bank's Farmingdale location is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while efficiently processing a variety of banking transactions. This role involves educating customers on available products and services, resolving inquiries, and promoting self-service options. The Teller also ensures compliance with banking regulations and maintains accurate cash handling.

What We're Looking For

Execute TD's Brand promise by delivering a Legendary Customer experience.,Perform customer transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan, and safe deposit box payments.,Process cash transactions accurately, including cashing checks, verifying currency, and balancing the cash drawer.,Respond to and resolve customer inquiries and concerns, escalating when necessary.,Manage customer flow in the lobby, greeting and guiding customers.,Educate customers on self-service and digital banking options.,Engage in needs-based conversations to offer financial and digital solutions or refer to partners.,Make sound decisions and provide timely problem resolution.,Ensure compliance with operational activities, including Bank Secrecy Act and Patriot Act.,Verify customer identities following authentication policies.,Balance cash drawers, ATMs, and Teller Cash Dispensers/Recyclers.,Adhere to safe deposit box procedures.,Responsible for cash drawers and vaults, maintaining limits and securing cash.,Accountable for securely storing confidential customer information.,Understand and follow dual control procedures.,Follow all security and audit measures to minimize loss.,Utilize bank tools to detect, address, and prevent fraud.,Complete all required in-classroom and online training by due dates.

Ideal Candidate

High school diploma or GED.,6 months work related experience preferred (volunteering, education, or military experience can be equivalent).,Ability to work operating hours including weekends, evenings, and holidays.,Demonstrated customer service skills preferred.,Strong organizational skills.,Detail-oriented.,Ability to function in a fast-paced and changing environment.,Excellent communication skills (concise, clear, consistent).
