Description

This role involves ensuring the continuous, safe, and compliant operation of GMP and non-GMP process and support equipment at Moderna's Norwood facility. The technician will be the first responder to equipment issues, performing maintenance, troubleshooting, and coordinating with external service providers. The position requires adherence to documentation, supporting small projects, and focusing on equipment uptime and compliance in a highly regulated manufacturing environment. It also offers exposure to automation and Generative AI technologies.

What We're Looking For

Execute preventive and corrective maintenance on GMP/non-GMP equipment and systems, following established procedures and schedules.,Lead development of remediation plans for follow-up and emergency work.,Perform equipment troubleshooting and implement repairs, coordinating with engineers and vendors.,Maintain all cGMP documentation, both in paper and electronic format, in full compliance.,Serve as the first responder for equipment issues and manage appropriate resolution strategies.,Operate and maintain manufacturing equipment such as autoclaves, washers, filling equipment, and filter integrity testers.,Perform changeovers and setup of filling equipment to support production readiness.,Support the 24/7 operational readiness of the site, including rotational on-call support.,Develop and maintain OJT (On-the-Job Training) records and maintain status as a Qualified Trainer.,Ensure spare parts, tools, and equipment are available for all assigned tasks.,Manage and oversee contract service providers, ensuring SOP compliance and proper documentation.,Administer hazardous energy control procedures and confined space entries per safety protocols.,Contribute to small maintenance projects and site reliability initiatives.,Apply basic asset management principles and routine reliability concepts in daily work.

Ideal Candidate

AS degree or certificate in a science/technical field or a technical trade school.,2-5 years of experience.,Must hold work authorization in US and be able to maintain that status without the need for future sponsorship.,Must qualify as a U.S. person (citizen, permanent resident, asylee, or refugee) due to U.S. export control laws.
