Technical Project Manager

Description

The Technical Project Manager will be a member of the US Data, CRM, and Platform Technology team, responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of highly technical projects within data engineering, CRM technology, and BI technology. This role involves ensuring adherence to project control procedures, preparing business cases, analyzing and documenting complex data, and collecting artifacts for special projects and audit requirements. The manager will utilize a project tracking system for reviews and reports, and manage stakeholder expectations regarding project scope and timelines. The position also focuses on compliance and regulatory oversight, identifying and mitigating technical risks, and collaborating with engineering teams and other project managers.

What We're Looking For

Manage day-to-day project activities for highly technical projects in data engineering, CRM technology, and BI technology.,Ensure adherence to project control procedures and policies.,Prepare business cases and analyze/document complex data.,Collect artifacts for special projects and audit-related requirements.,Utilize project tracking system for reviews and to prepare/distribute project status reports.,Act as a resource integrator and manage stakeholder expectations.,Plan, track, and drive technology deliverables.,Outline project goals, terms of reference, resource requirements, and costs.,Create a resource plan and assess efficiency of practices for continuous improvement.,Monitor milestones to ensure completion within timelines and budgets.,Execute project plans balancing budget, time, and risk.,Ensure adherence to financial regulatory requirements, audits, and compliance standards.,Collect and provide artifacts to auditors within tight timeframes.,Develop and execute audit plans for technical projects.,Conduct fieldwork and reporting of assurance and advisory engagements.,Identify and evaluate risks and controls in business processes.,Proactively identify and mitigate technical risks and develop recommendations to improve the control environment.,Work closely with other technical project managers and engineering teams.,Coordinate meetings, collect data, and provide support for compliance and audit requests.,Provide training and mentoring in project governance and controls.,Assist developers and engineers in identifying required technologies and services.,Develop trusted working relationships with business stakeholders and technology partners.

Ideal Candidate

7+ years of technical project management experience within the banking or financial services industry.,Desired experience managing data-centric projects (data engineering, Salesforce, BI, APIM, cloud, data transformation, ETL, data warehouse implementations).,Power BI and reporting automation experience is an asset.,Solid experience with project management and issue management tools like Planview, ServiceNow, and JIRA.,Experience managing cross-portfolio projects in a matrix environment.,Dashboard reporting experience, preferably with Tableau and Excel.,Experience with waterfall and agile methodologies and knowledge of the Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC).,Strong knowledge of financial regulatory requirements, compliance standards, project governance, and reporting for highly technical initiatives.,Experience collecting artifacts and documenting project findings for regular audits.,Understanding of technical project processes, navigating blockers, intakes, and identifying/mitigating technical risks.
