Technical Lead

Work alongside the Solution Architect during analysis and design to shape interface definitions, non-functional requirements, and high/low-level designs.,Define volumetrics, performance considerations, and data model updates for platform scalability and resilience.,Act as Technical Lead within a self-organizing Agile squad, owning the technical backlog and guiding implementation using DevSecOps and 'build it, run it' principles.,Collaborate with client’s Product Owners, architects, and suppliers.,Embed secure-by-design and test-driven approaches.,Drive effective use of AI-assisted development tools.,Ensure transparent, accountable delivery within a multi-supplier environment.,Lead HLD/LLD creation, interface specifications, and NFR definition.,Ensure performance, load, and volumetric requirements are met.,Guide sprint teams in implementing backlog items using Agile practices.,Embed secure coding, DevSecOps, and test-driven development.,Work across HMCTS stakeholders and suppliers with transparency.,Utilize CI/CD, Kubernetes, and AI-assisted tooling to enhance efficiency.

Strong technical leadership experience within complex application environments, ideally in justice or public sector settings.,Proven Java development expertise (e.g., Spring, Hibernate) and SQL/database design (DDL).,Experience contributing to HLD/LLD and interface specifications.,Experience with CI/CD tools and version control (Git/GitHub).,Experience with Kubernetes and/or middleware configuration.,Familiarity with secure coding practices and DevSecOps environments.,Experience working in Agile squads using Jira and Confluence.,Ability to work collaboratively across client and supplier teams.

Must hold, or be eligible to obtain, Security Check (SC) clearance.
