Description

The Team Lead, Commercial Banking at National Bank is responsible for coaching and managing a team of Commercial Account Managers, promoting the Bank's financial solutions, and overseeing a senior portfolio of commercial clients. The role involves field support, business development, leadership, and collaboration to achieve objectives and drive growth in the commercial banking sector. The position covers western Montreal and reports to the Regional Vice-President – Commercial Banking. The role focuses on creating an engaging work environment, fostering employee growth, optimizing sector efficiency, and establishing strategies to maximize market impact and visibility.

What We're Looking For

Manage and coach a team of account managers to foster an engaging work environment and achieve objectives.,Track employee growth and skills development through personalized coaching.,Optimize sector efficiency, productivity, and profitability by implementing business growth strategies.,Establish strategies with partners to maximize market impact and improve sector visibility.,Participate in drafting and executing the annual business plan for the market.,Manage a mid-market portfolio.,Build and maintain lasting client relationships through acquisition and retention activities.,Act as an ambassador of the Bank within the local community and foster relationships with key partners.,Strive for balance between risk management and profitability in business development.,Ensure adherence to compliance rules and operating procedures.,Keep abreast of new market developments and ensure competitive product and service offerings.,Be proactive in identifying new ways of working, encourage continuous improvement, and utilize new tools.,Support the Regional Vice-President (RVP) in establishing the business plan and day-to-day team management.,Hold a bachelor's degree in a related field and 7 years of relevant experience or a master's degree and 5 years of relevant experience.,Experience in personnel management and/or coaching.,Strong background in commercial credit and business development.,Good understanding of various banking systems.,Strong ability to influence others, good leadership skills and ability to manage priorities.,Sense of autonomy as well as organizational and change management skills.

Ideal Candidate

Bachelor's degree in a related field with 7 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 5 years of relevant experience.,Experience in personnel management or coaching.,Strong background in commercial credit and business development.,Good understanding of banking systems.,Strong ability to influence and lead.,Proficiency in managing priorities, autonomy, organizational skills, and change management.
