Description

The Team Lead, Commercial Banking Agriculture at National Bank of Canada is responsible for coaching a team of Commercial Account Managers, promoting the Bank's financial solutions, and managing a senior portfolio of commercial clients, specifically within the agriculture sector. The role involves supporting the team in business development, optimizing sector efficiency, and building lasting client relationships.

What We're Looking For

Manage a team of account managers and foster an engaging work environment.

Track employee growth and skills development through personalized coaching.

Optimize sector efficiency, productivity, and profitability by implementing business growth strategies.

Establish strategies with partners to maximize market impact and improve sector visibility.

Participate in drafting and managing the execution of the annual business plan for the market.

Manage a mid-market portfolio.

Build and maintain lasting client relationships through acquisition and retention activities.

Act as an ambassador of the Bank within the local community and foster relationships with key partners.

Strive for balance between risk management and profitability in business development.

Ensure adherence to compliance rules and operating procedures.

Stay informed of new market developments and ensure products/services meet client needs and remain competitive.

Be proactive in identifying new ways of working, encourage continuous improvement, and use new tools.

Support the RVP in establishing the business plan and in the day-to-day management of the team.

Ideal Candidate

Bachelor's degree in a related field and 7 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree and 5 years of relevant experience.

Experience in personnel management and/or coaching.

Strong background in commercial credit and business development.

Good understanding of various banking systems.

Strong ability to influence others, good leadership skills, and ability to manage priorities.

Sense of autonomy, organizational, and change management skills.
