The PCA Group Manager at TD Insurance leads a team of senior insurance advisors, focusing on efficient operations, service delivery, and compliance. The role involves leading, coaching, and developing employees to achieve business results, strong underwriting acumen, and professional development. The Private Client Advice (PCA) unit provides tailored insurance services for high-value assets.

What We're Looking For

Lead, coach, and develop a team of Account Managers, driving consistent performance, accountability, and capability across a high-volume, high-complexity Private Client portfolio.

Monitor and manage team performance to ensure customer, partner, and business expectations are met, with a strong focus on service quality, risk discipline, productivity, and retention.

Ensure Account Managers effectively manage end-to-end client servicing, including complex policy changes, renewals, escalations, and issue resolution.

Act as the primary escalation point for significant client issues, risk exceptions, and service breakdowns, leading resolution discussions with confidence and sound judgment.

Demonstrate advanced, hands-on proficiency in Guidewire, including complex policy structures, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, referrals, and system workflows, and coach Account Managers on best practices, efficiency, and risk accuracy.

Serve as a system and process expert, supporting consistent and correct use of Guidewire and related tools to maintain underwriting integrity, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Own risk-based decision making for escalated and non-standard files, ensuring alignment with underwriting appetite, regulatory expectations, and PCA standards.

Drive achievement of team, business, and customer experience outcomes through ongoing coaching, feedback, and role-modeling expected leadership and service behaviours.

Partner closely with underwriting, pricing, claims, operations, and distribution teams to resolve complex issues, influence outcomes, and deliver a consistent Private Client experience.

Contribute to the design and implementation of new processes, tools, and operating models by providing practical, frontline-informed insights that improve scalability, efficiency, and client outcomes.

Support retention, referral, and growth strategies through disciplined execution, proactive client management, and consistent application of PCA service standards.

Ensure effective application of client segmentation and service models, aligning team behaviors and decision making to the expectations of sophisticated Private Client clients.

5+ years of people leadership experience, with additional consideration given to candidates with experience leading large teams or operating at the Group Manager level.

7+ years of insurance experience, preferably supporting High Net Worth or Private Client area as an Underwriter, Broker, or Account Manager.

Advanced proficiency in Guidewire, with demonstrated experience managing complex policies and coaching others on system usage, efficiency, and risk accuracy.

Strong underwriting knowledge and exposure across multiple asset classes, enabling informed discussions on pricing, risk, claims, and coverage strategy.

Active provincial insurance license in good standing, minimum 1 year, with willingness to become licensed in other provinces or territories as required.

Proven ability to lead through complexity, manage competing priorities, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage confidently with clients, partners, and senior stakeholders.

Demonstrated credibility, accountability, and attention to detail, with a strong commitment to professionalism and quality outcomes.

A collaborative leader with the confidence to challenge, influence, and drive alignment across internal and external partners.
