TD Insurance - Bilingual (Eng./Fre.) Catastrophe Claims Advisor (home & auto)

Description

This role at TD Insurance involves supporting customers experiencing catastrophic losses (e.g., fire, hail, tornado, heavy rains) by investigating, negotiating, and settling residential and auto catastrophe claims. The advisor will guide customers through the entire claims process, from opening new claims and assigning contractors to managing financial transactions and finalizing settlements, while ensuring timely and accurate resolution.

What We're Looking For

Investigate, negotiate, and settle residential and auto catastrophe claims.,Manage the full claims lifecycle, including opening claims, setting up appraisals, assigning contractors, processing financial transactions, and finalizing settlements.,Review inspection reports and estimates to ensure damages are related to the loss.,Provide ongoing communication and support to customers regarding claim status, cause of loss, and repair completion.,Adjust claims quickly and accurately in accordance with policy coverage.,Collaborate with internal partners and leverage external vendors.,Reconcile customer problems and escalate issues as necessary.,Actively participate in performance management and professional development.,Support other TD Insurance Business Lines during critical events and peak volumes.,Share industry knowledge and expertise with colleagues.,Maintain proactive and consistent contact with customers to build trust.,Contribute to a positive working environment as a team member.

Ideal Candidate

Two or more years of claims adjusting experience (experience with multiple lines of claims insurance is an asset).,Computer literacy.,Knowledge of Xactimate and Xactanalys is an asset.,Actively pursuing Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation or other relevant continuing education is preferred.,Provincial claims licensing may be required.,Bilingual (English and French) written and verbal is considered an asset.
