Description
The SVP of Card Schemes is a high-level leadership position responsible for overseeing and expanding Nuvei’s global relationships with major card networks and financial institutions. The role involves driving growth in a competitive market by integrating new payment technologies, optimizing pricing strategies, and leading international expansion efforts into new territories while ensuring alignment between internal product, risk, and commercial teams.
What We're Looking For
Manage and strengthen global relationships with major card schemes including Visa, Mastercard, Amex, and local networks.,Partner with Product and Compliance teams to implement scheme innovations like Tokenization and Account Name Identifiers.,Develop and execute strategic pricing models and volume allocation to maximize margins.,Oversee expansion into new markets such as Japan, Colombia, and Mexico by navigating local scheme rules.,Manage US Bank Sponsor relationships and domestic debit routing strategies.,Represent the company at global trade shows and industry events.,Lead and mentor a globally distributed team across different time zones.,Ensure operational compliance with Canadian and international banking settlement requirements.
Ideal Candidate
Extensive experience in the payments industry, including processors, acquirers, and BIN sponsors.,Proven track record in defining and executing global banking and scheme strategies.,Demonstrated ability to negotiate complex pricing and product customization deals.,Experience leading large, multicultural teams in a global environment.
