Supply Chain Trainee
Description
Saputo is seeking Supply Chain Trainees to support various supply chain departments such as MRP, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Production Planning, Transportation/Logistics, or Cheese Procurement. This role involves identifying and implementing opportunities for cost reduction, network optimization, and process improvement within the supply chain. The company aims to make high-quality products, invest in its people, and support communities globally.
What We're Looking For
Provide everyday support to the department.,Contribute to department success by planning for SKUs, routes, categories, or distribution centers.,Provide Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to leadership.,Identify and communicate risks (over/shorts/delays) to key stakeholders.,Evaluate network layout (ordering quantities, distribution footprint, warehouse, and transportation costs) to provide optimization recommendations, considering sourcing flows, stocking points, and purchase schedules.,Evaluate customer order patterns, shelf life, and lead time to establish default stocking recommendations (make to order/make to stock, target quantities).
Ideal Candidate
Pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Economics, Statistics/Mathematics, or Industrial Engineering.,Previous internship and/or working experience (preferred).,Excellent analytical and data management skills (Statistical Analysis).,Familiarity with supply chain concepts and software.,Familiarity with operational planning & scheduling.,Intermediate Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables, if/then).,Previous SAP experience (preferred).,Self-motivated, able to multi-task, can work independently, and as part of a team.,Demonstrates professionalism and positively represents Saputo.,Ability to work scheduled hours and required overtime as needed.,Displays traits of reliability, honesty, respect, attention to detail, and punctuality.,Can communicate effectively and efficiently.
