The Supply Chain Trainee at Saputo will support various supply chain departments, including MRP, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Production Planning, Transportation/Logistics, and Cheese Procurement. This role involves identifying and implementing opportunities for cost reduction, network optimization, and process improvement within the supply chain.
Contribute to the success of the department by planning for SKUs, routes, categories, or distribution centers.
Provide Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to leadership.
Identify and communicate risk (e.g., over/shorts/delays) to key stakeholders.
Evaluate network layout considering ordering quantities, distribution footprint, warehouse costs, transportation costs, and other factors to provide recommendations on optimization of the supply chain, including sourcing flows, stocking points, and purchase schedules.
Evaluate customer order patterns, shelf life, lead time, and other factors to establish default stocking recommendations, including make-to-order or make-to-stock strategies and target quantities.
Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management, Economics, Statistics/Mathematics, or Industrial Engineering.
Previous internship and/or working experience (preferred).
Familiarity with supply chain concepts and software.
Familiarity with operational planning & scheduling.
Previous SAP experience (preferred).
Demonstrates professionalism and positively represents and promotes Saputo at all times.
Ability to work scheduled hours and required overtime as needed.

Can communicate effectively and efficiently.
