The Strategic Business Development Trainee at Saputo will conduct research to gather insights, support the strategy process, and assist in crafting strategic plans. The role involves executing qualitative and quantitative analyses to identify profitable strategic and operational opportunities, providing ad-hoc analyses for senior leadership, contributing to Saputo’s Strategic Growth Plan, recognizing market trends, technology solutions, and competitive strategies to generate innovative ideas. Additionally, the trainee will gather category, consumer, and shopper data, prepare customer category reviews, conduct competitive analyses, design and deliver presentations, complete value-add projects, develop industry understanding, identify high-impact research opportunities, and effectively manage projects while adhering to timelines.
Execute qualitative and quantitative analyses that identify, validate, and refine profitable strategic and operational opportunities for Saputo.,Provide ad-hoc analyses for senior leadership to support the growth and development of the business.,Provide input and insights to Saputo’s Strategic Growth Plan.,Recognize current marketing trends, new technology solutions, and competitive strategies and turn them into new and innovative ideas.,Gather category, consumer, and shopper data to help identify opportunities to improve sales and/or category assortment using various databases including IRI, NCH, KWIKEE, Rapid Recall, Data Sync GS-1, Wal-Mart Retail Link, etc.,Prepare customer category reviews.,Conduct competitive analyses and present findings to internal stakeholders.,Design and deliver presentations based on analytic work.,Complete a value-add projects for the category marketing team.,Develop a firm grasp of the industry including understanding the competitive landscape (pricing/promotions/marketing strategies, etc.).,Identify new opportunities for high-impact research to answer organizational knowledge gaps around dealer and consumer needs.,Effectively manage projects, prioritize, and adhere to timelines.
Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communication, Business, or a related field.,Enjoys the analytic side of marketing.,Experience (in or outside of school) drawing insights from data.,Can create an effective presentation and has experience presenting.,Intermediate Excel skills (vlookups, pivot tables, if/then, etc.).,Self-motivated, able to multi-task, can work independently, and as part of a team.,Ability to work scheduled hours and required overtime as needed.,Displays traits of reliability, honesty, respect, attention.,Demonstrates professionalism and positively represents and promotes Saputo at all times.
