Description

The Store Manager I develops, leads, and contributes to the growth and profitability of the Consumer Business by managing a store portfolio including deposits, loans, fees, and expenses. This role involves leading, coaching, and motivating the store team to deliver exceptional employee and customer experiences, focusing on deepening customer relationships, and achieving shareholder value through solutions and referrals. The manager is responsible for store growth by ensuring customer needs are met and providing sound advice, while also being accountable for achieving both store and individual performance metrics.

What We're Looking For

Develop, lead, and contribute to the growth and profitability of the Consumer Business through store portfolio management (deposits, loans, fees, expenses).,Lead, coach, and motivate the Store team to deliver a legendary Employee and Customer Experience and achieve shareholder value.,Responsible for Store growth by deepening customer relationships and referring to specialists.,Accountable for achieving both Store and individual performance metrics.,Provide people management leadership (hiring, goal setting, development, performance management, disciplinary actions).,Oversee and lead a small and/or complex Store while growing talent.,Act as the highest point of escalation/contact within the store for issues.,Originate loan applications, handle Conditions of Lending, and conduct loan closings.,Maintain an active registration status with NMLS.,Manage the service and advice team, promoting a positive customer and colleague experience.,Coach team on service, product, and sales information and advice-giving strategies.,Ensure customer issues are handled appropriately and participate in problem resolution.,Actively promote the Bank's presence/brand within the community.,Build relationships by promoting a client/customer centered organization.,Contribute to the execution and achievement of team and store service customer experience targets.,Provide oversight of store premises and ensure professional appearance.,Ensure overall colleague scheduling is optimal to meet customer demands.,Create store-specific strategies to grow the business.,Use reporting to identify opportunities to acquire and deepen customer relationships.,Partner with Specialists (Small Business, Commercial, Consumer Lending, Wealth) to grow the Store Portfolio.,Manage the Store budget to meet expense and revenue objectives.,Drive One TD - Build and sustain awareness and engagement across Retail and all Lines of Business.,Proactively reach out to prospects to develop and deepen relationships.,Identify and develop relationships with Personal, Small Business and Center and Influence (COIs).,Achieve business objective for Operational Excellence and ensure due diligence.,Follow and ensure colleagues understand and apply bank operating policies and procedures.,Protect the interests of the organization – identify, manage risks, and escalate non-standard/high-risk transactions.,Keep abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements.,Maintain a culture of risk management and control.,Ensure colleagues are knowledgeable and minimize operational and regulatory risk.,Work alongside other business lines to stay abreast of market trends and support referrals.,Lead, coach, and develop store teammates to create a consistent legendary customer experience.,Coach teammates to provide the best advice to potential and existing TD Bank customers.,Responsible for management of the overall team, providing leadership and guidance.,Set targets and objectives for the team, and hold them accountable.,Grow team expertise and assess skills and capabilities.,Lead a high performing team; provide on-going feedback and performance reviews.,Lead the process of setting performance objectives for the team.,Ensure colleagues are in compliance with human resources policies and guidelines.,Share knowledge, information, skills, and subject matter expertise among the team.,Support an environment where team freely escalates business challenges.,Recruit for all hires to ensure a highly diverse, qualified workforce.,Establish and foster a cohesive team; promote a fair and equitable environment.,Act as a brand ambassador for your business area/function and the bank.

Ideal Candidate

Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.,3+ years relevant experience required (retail, customer service, and/or financial services industries).,Business development skills, including ability to conceptualize and implement strategies.,1+ years leadership and coaching experience required.,Small Business and Consumer lending experience preferred.,Knowledge of Bank product lines and services, store operations, and security.,Proven ability to manage competing priorities, strategically aligning efforts.,Strong financial analysis skills.,Strong presentation, analytical, interpersonal and collaborative skills.,Excellent verbal and written communication skills.,Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate team members.,Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.,Notary License (preferred).

Minimum Education

Special Commitments

Maintain active registration status with NMLS (Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry).,Must be eligible for employment with a covered financial institution under Regulation Z of the Truth in Lending Act.,Must be eligible for registration as a registered mortgage loan originator with the NMLS.,Satisfactory results on a criminal background check and a credit report check are required.,Statements/certification from job applicant regarding administrative, civil, and/or criminal findings by any government agency/authority are required.,Occasional Domestic Travel.
