This role involves managing the inventory and preparation of cultures and ingredients essential for dairy production. Key duties include operating and cleaning various tanks and equipment, supporting cheesemakers and RMC operators, maintaining raw materials, and upholding strict food safety and quality standards. The position requires adherence to documentation protocols and the ability to perform laboratory sampling.
Inventory cultures and Ingredients.,Must be forklift certified.,Must be able to lift 60 lb. bags of starter media.,Accurate completion of documentation.,Pull samples for the lab.,Must be able to use a microscope.,C.I.P. starter tanks, Brine UF, finesavers, cooker water tank, whey surge tanks, and tank jackets, and accessory equipment.,Complete titrations and pre-op on equipment.,Transfer cooker water.,Assist RMC operators with form changes, and brine room attendants when necessary.,Supply ingredients to Cheesemakers.,Make primary tanks.,Set secondary tanks.,Maintain raw materials in the starter area.,Assist with production needs.,Peel starter bags daily.,Must be able to take and pass a Pasteurizer test given by the State Inspector.,Will have 3 months from being placed in job to obtain license.,Must be able to cross train and master other jobs as assigned.,Responsible for food safety and food quality.,Must be able to read and write in English.
