This internship position at Saputo involves supporting Quality Control and Laboratory functions during a project launch. The intern will help alleviate the workload of the existing team and ensure a smooth transition following the launch. The internship program runs from May 11th to August 14th, 2026.
Perform microbiological and compositional tests using food scanners and FT systems, and prepare clear results for the team.
Collect samples on the production floor, verify procedures, and support line start‑up quality sign‑offs.
Prepare shift summaries, share findings with the team, and follow up on daily quality activities.
Contribute to ongoing quality initiatives through data collection, testing, and process improvements.
Currently enrolled in a program in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
Strong interest in laboratory testing, quality control, and working in a production environment.
Bilingual (English/French), both spoken and written.
Experience in food manufacturing (co‑op, summer job, or coursework-related exposure) is an asset.
Basic understanding of microbiological or compositional testing (an asset).
Comfortable working on the production floor and interacting with cross‑functional teams.
Solid organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).
Responsible, curious, and eager to learn in a hands‑on quality environment.
Availability to work rotating shifts, if required.
