Description

The intern will support the Plessisville plant in adopting a culture of continuous improvement and problem-solving. Responsibilities include implementing daily management systems (DMS/DDS), analyzing processes, and utilizing data to enhance productivity, reduce losses, and stabilize operations. The full-time internship program is scheduled from May 11 to August 14, 2026.

What We're Looking For

Participate in the design and improvement of DDS rituals, SQCD (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery) indicators, and visual standards.,Deploy Lean tools for effective daily management (e.g., shift tracking).,Support supervisors in facilitating meetings.,Ensure performance dashboards are updated and actions are followed up.,Use Excel and/or Power BI to analyze production KPIs and their trends: OEE, downtime, rejection, rate.,Identify performance gaps and main losses (Pareto).,Perform Gemba walks on the floor, observe the production process, and measure cycle times.,Contribute to Kaizen, 5S, SMED, and process optimization projects.,Support the plant in documenting processes, creating/updating SOPs/CL/CIL.,Structure problem-solving methodology via PDCA and 5 Whys.,Monitor progress and deadlines for improvement actions.

Ideal Candidate

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, preferably in the final year, with graduation expected in 2027.,Previous internship experience in a related field (an asset).,Capable of data-driven decision making and being a positive change agent.,Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.,Bilingual (English/French) spoken and written - will interact with partners across Canada.,Ability to build and maintain relationships, and collaborate effectively with team members and various stakeholders.,High sense of responsibility and ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.,Strong skills in Excel and PowerPoint.,Experience with Power Query, Power BI, and Power Automate (an asset).,Knowledge or experience with 5S, waste, VSM (Value Stream Mapping), Standard Work, SMED, OEE, Pareto, and loss analysis (an asset).
