Sr. Ultra High Net Worth Client Reporting Analyst

Description

The Sr. Ultra High Net Worth Client Reporting Analyst at Royal Bank of Canada is responsible for acting as a subject matter expert in customized performance analysis for ultra-high net worth (UHNW) and institutional clients. This involves collaborating with financial advisors to develop and compile customized investment performance information, including aggregating held-away asset data. The role also requires developing expertise in RBC's performance reporting application and implementing processes to support clients and advisors, while ensuring proper supervisory review.

What We're Looking For

Build and maintain UHNW & Institutional report templates for firm-wide use.,Create custom blended benchmarks for UHNW and institutional clients.,Ensure the accuracy of investment performance data for RBC portfolios, held-away assets, and benchmarks.,Develop processes for aggregating held-away accounts/assets via RBC's performance reporting system for performance calculations.,Develop a process for collecting and inputting valuations for hard assets (e.g., yachts, investment properties) into reports.,Develop and utilize a process to collect liability information from UHNW clients for Net Worth Statement reporting.,Audit underlying performance records for accuracy and reasonableness.,Respond to performance inquiries and provide performance support.,Consistently deliver accurate investment performance information to clients and advisors.,Clearly articulate primary drivers of investment returns through attribution analysis and risk-adjusted return metrics.,Maintain effective working relationships with internal groups and operations to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Ideal Candidate

Deep understanding of time-weighted return calculations and the impact of cash flows on performance calculations.,Ability to reconcile performance calculations.,Familiarity with Wealth Management and experience in financial services.,Strong technological skills to become an expert on performance reporting system's functionality (UI and reporting).,Process-oriented with experience in development and execution of processes, including data entry and management.,Solution-oriented and creative problem solver, able to interface with FAs and UHNW/institutional clients.,Series 7, 65/66 licenses.,Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) in business, finance, or marketing with 3+ years of securities or financial markets experience.,Understanding of fundamental performance measurement concepts (e.g., time-weighted returns, IRR, attribution analysis).,Detail and process oriented.,Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.,Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing professional environment.,Willingness to aggressively learn new skills in a short period of time.,Strong analytical skills to understand data inputs and outputs and identify anomalies.,Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.,Experience and comfort collaborating with Financial Advisors and external clients; strong service orientation.,Nice-to-have: CFA and/or CIPM designation.,Nice-to-have: Self-directed and pro-active team player.,Nice-to-have: Adaptable to change.,Nice-to-have: Organizational awareness and understanding of the portfolio management process.,Nice-to-have: Strategic influencing, negotiating, and persuasion skills.,Nice-to-have: Experience with performance calculation and reporting software.
