The Sr. Relationship Manager at TD Bank plays a crucial role in serving the commercial banking needs of the community. This position focuses on acquiring, developing, and managing commercial banking relationships by offering tailored financial solutions across various commercial segments. The manager is responsible for growing the portfolio through new business development and cross-selling to existing customers. They act as a trusted advisor, structuring competitive solutions that address customers' financing, cash management, and overall business needs, thereby adding value to their portfolios.

What We're Looking For

Achieve growth goals for loans, deposits, and fees individually and within the team.,Develop new business and cross-sell to existing customers.,Make sales calls and coordinate sales efforts, gathering financial and general business information.,Contribute to loan decision processes based on credit risk evaluation.,Negotiate specific terms and conditions and communicate credit decisions.,Lead all aspects of relationship management for an assigned portfolio/segment/geography.,Deliver exceptional customer service and continuously improve the customer experience.,Act as a trusted advisor, providing creative products/solutions.,Actively use sales platforms to understand customer/target needs, industries, and markets.,Understand customers' operating environment to structure unique financing, cash management, and business solutions.,Generate referrals to all business partners within the Bank.,Develop a clear retention plan for assigned portfolio deposits and loans.,Possess and enhance expert knowledge of the market, customers, and broader economic factors.,Identify and respond to changes in the business environment, establishing action plans.,Identify customer/prospect referral opportunities to internal Bank partners.,Develop community relationships and participate in civic and professional organizations.,Develop/implement sales strategies to attract, acquire, and retain customers.,Plan and execute business development activities, review results, and adjust tactics.,Promote and offer a full suite of products, sales, services, and banking capabilities.,Assess credit requests, determine risk, and make appropriate recommendations for structuring deals.,Contribute to credit applications with high-quality risk assessment, credit structure, due diligence, and presentation.,Contribute to business objectives for Operational Excellence.,Support timely and accurate completion of business processes and procedures.,Protect the interests of the organization by identifying and managing risks.,Ensure documentation is accurate and consistent with relevant rules/regulations.,Identify, suggest, and actively participate in process improvement opportunities.,Manage relationships within and across various business lines/corporate and/or control functions.,Participate in cross-functional/enterprise initiatives as a subject matter expert.,Ensure necessary due diligence for accuracy of all customer transactions/activities.,Keep abreast of emerging issues, trends, and evolving regulatory requirements.,Maintain a culture of risk management and control, aligned with risk appetite.,Participate fully as a team member, supporting a positive work environment.,Provide thought leadership and industry knowledge, participating in knowledge transfer.,Keep current on emerging trends/developments and grow knowledge of the business.,Participate in personal performance management and development activities.,Keep others informed about project status and day-to-day activities.,Contribute to team development through mentorship, knowledge sharing, and best practices.,Lead, motivate, and develop relationships with internal and external business partners.,Contribute to a fair, positive, and equitable environment that supports a diverse workforce.,Act as a brand ambassador for the business area/function and the bank.

Ideal Candidate

Undergraduate degree,10+ years relevant experience,In-depth understanding of commercial industry,Proven business development track record,Proven ability to conceptualize and implement effective new business strategies,Extensive network of outside referral sources for new business,Excellent credit and financial analysis skills,Effective negotiation skills
