Sr. Project Manager, Private Wealth Technology

The Senior Project Manager, IT will lead complex tactical projects within CIBC’s Private Wealth Technology team. This role involves overseeing all project activities, ensuring adherence to project control procedures and policies, and applying deep expertise in project management best practices. Responsibilities include project planning, reporting, and supporting activities, while working with minimal direction. The Senior Project Manager will also manage stakeholder relationships, provide status updates, and mentor teams to achieve project goals.

What We're Looking For

Outline project goals, terms of reference, resource requirements, and costs.,Create a resource plan ensuring all stakeholders have a voice.,Assess and improve team practices and procedures.,Help internal partners make informed decisions about program, product, and service development.,Coach and mentor teams.,Negotiate deliverables and milestones.,Proactively identify and mitigate risks to the project schedule.,Monitor milestones to ensure completion according to timelines and budgets.,Execute project plans balancing budget, time, and risk.

Ideal Candidate

At least 8+ years of experience in project management, ideally within the financial services or technology industry.,Experience managing cross-portfolio projects in a matrix environment.,Experience with waterfall and agile methodologies and knowledge of the Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC).,Experience with project management and issue management tools like Planview, ServiceNow, and JIRA.,Experience in Wealth management.,Experience in Vendor management.,Degree/diploma in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field of study.,PMP, Certified ScrumMaster or related designation (asset).

Minimum Education

Degree/diploma in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field of study.
