Description

The Senior Project Manager, IT at CIBC's Enterprise Technology team is a seasoned expert responsible for managing complex IT projects, ensuring adherence to project control procedures and technology performance standards. They will apply deep knowledge in project management best practices, lead analytical approaches, maintain relationships with stakeholders, and provide status updates. What We're Looking For

Outline project goals, terms of reference, resource requirements, and costs; create a resource plan; assess and improve project practices.,Help internal partners make informed decisions; coach and mentor teams; negotiate deliverables and milestones.,Proactively identify and mitigate risks to the project schedule; monitor milestones to ensure completion according to timelines and budgets.,Communicate effectively, build consensus, and write with impact; chair meetings.,Develop trusted working relationships with business stakeholders and technology partners.,For candidates with extensive experience, training and mentoring colleagues.

Ideal Candidate

At least two years of experience in project management, ideally within the financial services or technology industry.,Experience managing cross-portfolio projects in a matrix environment.,Experience with waterfall and agile methodologies and knowledge of the Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC).,Experience with project management and issue management tools like Planview, ServiceNow, and JIRA.,Degree/diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field of study.,PMP designation is an asset.
