Sr. Manager, Governance and Control (12 months)

As a Senior Manager in Governance and Control, this role involves reporting to the Director, Finance Governance and Controls. Key responsibilities include participating in various Finance initiatives to establish appropriate governance structures, acting as the main business contact, performing risk assessments, conducting controls testing reviews, and designing and implementing controls. The role also requires ensuring ongoing control effectiveness through reviews and testing and collaborating with stakeholders across Finance and Treasury.

What We're Looking For

Participate in initiatives related to risk assessments, identification and designing new controls.,Ensure comprehensive and independent assessment of risks across multiple business units and assess the impact on the bank.,Review controls, develop work plans, identify, raise and record deficient and ineffective controls, and monitor the timely implementation of remediation plans.,Review test plans and support scheduling of design walkthroughs between third parties and 1A to facilitate design effectiveness testing.,Review testing papers for controls tested by third parties and provide feedback to improve quality of testing.,Sign off on testing papers once quality is improved.,Primary relationship manager with key stakeholders across the organization including: Internal Audit, Risk Management, Compliance, external auditors and the Business.,Provide guidance to managers and provide resolutions to issues faced by the team during control testing and other governance related activities.

Ideal Candidate

Experience in governance and risk management,Knowledge of banking products, finance and associated risks and controls,Asset: Experience in regulatory compliance management, auditing firms or internal audit at other financial institutions,Legally eligible to work at the specified location(s) and, where applicable, must have a valid work or study permit
