This role involves overseeing and managing Technology Management Controls testing, Compliance Programs testing, and External Audit for Financial Reporting and SOX Compliance for CIBC's Technology Line of Business Partners. The primary goal is to ensure robust risk mitigation over key controls and compliance activities, thereby reducing CIBC's exposure to fraud and technology/security-related risks. The Sr. Manager supports technology businesses in maintaining an effective control environment, contributes significantly to the annual external audit for CIBC financial and SOX reports, and is responsible for leading and executing governance activities related to control testing and compliance within the CIBC Technology Management Controls framework. This position operates under a hybrid work model, requiring 2-3 days on-site weekly.
Employee effective monitoring and oversight through the three lines of defense model, including adherence to overarching Controls Methodologies.,Support continuous improvement in Controls and Compliance Programs.,Strong leadership skills, including setting context for work, building team and individual capabilities, providing development opportunities, motivation, coaching, and training.,Direct Governance Consultants by providing strategic guidance and support for program objectives and end-to-end solutions.,Develop internal relationships with senior executives, business unit managers, and divisional executives.,Experience in People leadership within Fraud Controls and Governance, including identifying gaps, assessing Controls, and making recommendations for improvements.,Working knowledge of CIBC’s Control Framework requirements.,Experience within Audit or testing of key Fraud Controls processes.,Ability to support and communicate Control Framework requirements and development of new/changes to controls.,Ability to interface with multiple business units and corporate governance groups on complex issues.,Ability to influence senior stakeholders in situations requiring cooperation and consensus.,Solid technical expertise with Excel.,Stellar written and oral communication skills.,Current accreditation and good standing in CISA, CRISC, CISSP.
