The Senior Consultant, Business Systems Analysis at CIBC, specifically for Simplii Financial, acts as a pivotal link between business and technology teams. This role involves providing expert advice and consultation for business application developments, offering technical leadership, and guiding technology decisions through client business review sessions. Key responsibilities include developing and recommending new technologies, providing project managers with expertise, and independently resolving complex challenges. The consultant will gather business requirements, collaborate on solution requirements, manage release cycles, support development and QA teams, conduct integration testing, and ensure successful production go-live. Additionally, the role involves assessing technology delivery models, reviewing QA test cases, configuring environments, and facilitating regulatory system changes.

Provide advice and consultation for business application developments.,Provide technical leadership and interpret complex information.,Participate in client business review sessions to influence technology decisions.,Develop, recommend, and facilitate activities for new technologies.,Provide expertise to project managers, coordinators, and directors on technology functionality.,Independently resolve ambiguous challenges with organization-wide impacts.,Serve as a bridge between business and technology teams.,Work closely with product owners and managers to gather business requirements (BRD).,Collaborate with developers and vendors on solution requirements (SRD).,Act as a subject matter expert throughout development and QA cycles.,Document business and solution requirements/specifications.,Manage release cycles.,Support business and technology teams including product owners, developers, and QA.,Conduct integration testing.,Ensure successful production go-live.,Assess and recommend technology delivery models and process enhancements.,Review QA test cases.,Configure environments.,Facilitate system changes required by regulatory initiatives.,Understand and document requirements for Simplii business partners.,Build client-focused solutions that meet business requirements.,Prepare and validate solution design documents.,Support end-to-end project implementation as a subject matter expert.,Provide guidance to technology and project professionals.
Ideal Candidate
5+ years working as a Business Analyst, Business System Analyst, or Business System Consultant in Financial Services and Technology, Fintech, Capital Markets Technology, or comparable financial and technology domains.,Minimum 5 years of BA/Product Owner/QA experience working with enterprise-level applications.,Bachelor or Master degree from a reputable university in STEM.
