The Sr. Application Specialist will partner with IT and business lines to analyze, research, and resolve business system issues by recommending and implementing technology solutions. This role involves working on large projects with multiple applications and third-party interfaces, focusing on technical analysis, design, system implementation, testing, documentation, planning, and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders and vendors.
Facilitate requirement gathering with the business and translate into technical specifications.,Manage detailed design phases for large projects, identifying and resolving technical issues.,Provide quality support to business partners through SQL queries for data analysis, impact analysis, and ad hoc reports.,Identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies for project completion.,Provide input and coordinate with technical team members for database structure creation/modification.,Act as a technical liaison between business and project/support teams for installations.,Partner with development and support teams for release activities and Post Implementation Validation.,Manage User Acceptance Testing and verification with the Quality Engineering team.,Ensure adequate technical documentation and training.,Manage all aspects of implementation planning and coordination.,Develop detailed plans and estimates for project phases.,Perform database/disaster recovery planning for multiple systems.,Act as primary IT liaison with multiple interfacing applications, 3rd party vendors, IT Executive, and Project Managers.,Effectively communicate and build rapport with team members, stakeholders, and interface groups.,Facilitate complex group meetings for technical design, decision-making, problem-solving, implementation, and strategic planning.,Prepare and deliver presentations to various partners and executives.
7+ years of experience in IS/IT performing business/systems & data analysis.,Experience working with product owners, business analysts, and developers.,Proficiency in creating presentations, flow charts, and business process documents.,Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.,Understanding of business requirements.,Working knowledge and experience with cloud services (SaaS, preferred IaaS, PaaS).,Advanced experience with building/running SQL queries for data analysis, impact analysis, and ad hoc reporting.,Good understanding of data models and large data analysis.,Nice-to-have: Hands-on experience with Informatica MDM (Master Data Management).,Nice-to-have: Experience working in an Agile development setting and familiarity with Jira.,Nice-to-have: Experience working in an enterprise environment and Service Oriented Architecture with multiple integrations.,Nice-to-have: Experience with the financial industry and/or customer data/client information.
