Software Engineer II - Workday Developer

Description

The Software Engineer II will develop software solutions, focusing on analytics, support, testing, and proof-of-concepts aligned with business objectives. This role involves comprehensive system solution development through programming, including potential responsibilities in research, installation, maintenance, configuration, administration, and system provisioning. Key activities include creating new features, conducting unit and component tests, supporting business inquiries with enhancements and bug fixes, and participating in code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to architecture standards.

What We're Looking For

Develop new solutions for engineering programs and projects.,Develop new features and perform unit/component tests for new application development initiatives.,Support business inquiries and activities through small enhancements and break/fix implementations.,Conduct peer code reviews.,Collaborate with technology partners to ensure configuration and custom components meet application requirements and performance goals.,Analyze technical requirements and recommend pragmatic engineering solutions.,Monitor product lifecycles and re-develop as needed.,Document and verify system components, infrastructure, security, integration, and operability.,Participate in quality management reviews, especially of designs and prototypes.,Create and maintain quality, defect-free code consistent with standards.,Provide code maintenance and support during testing and post-production.,Offer technical expertise during incident management, analyzing reports and assessing impact.,Assist in developing/maintaining processes for issue prevention and resolution.,Adhere to enterprise frameworks and methodologies.,Ensure programs/policies comply with internal and external requirements.,Proactively prevent defects.,Support continuous improvement and automation.,Conduct analysis to draw conclusions and make recommendations.,Identify opportunities to minimize cost and enhance stakeholder experience.,Conduct code reviews for quality, standards, reusability, and maintenance.,Monitor service and productivity levels, implementing improvements.,Lead/implement actions/remediation plans for performance/risk/governance issues.,Manage relationships with business lines, corporate, and control functions.,Identify and manage risks, escalating high-risk activities.,Stay informed on emerging issues, trends, and regulatory requirements.,Maintain a culture of risk management and control.,Participate as a team member, fostering a positive work environment.,Provide thought leadership for quality engineering best practices and facilitate knowledge transfer.,Keep current on emerging trends and grow business knowledge.,Participate in personal performance management and development.,Mentor team members by sharing knowledge and best practices.,Lead, motivate, and develop relationships with business partners.,Contribute to a fair, positive, and equitable environment.,Act as a brand ambassador for the bank.

Ideal Candidate

Undergraduate degree, Postgraduate degree or Technical Certificate (preferably in computer science or engineering).,3-5 years relevant experience.,Solid understanding of Workday HCM, Payroll, Benefits, and Time Tracking.,Experience with Workday integration tools and techniques (Connectors, EIBs, Studio, APIs).,Experience with Workday Custom reports, calculated fields, and BIRT reporting.,Workday Extend and/or Prism experience (asset).,Understanding of Workday security protocols, data privacy requirements, and secure data transfer.
