Software Development Manager (Mobile)

Hire, onboard, train and coach a team of high-performing individuals.,Support career development through feedback, reviews, and structured development plans.,Help the team deliver code in a high-trust environment using continuous delivery.,Ensure great delivery cadence and strong connection with stakeholders.,Evaluate the performance of the technical architecture of the mobile application and adopt industry trends.,Collaborate closely and continuously with the team to manage development initiatives.,Report to the Director, Software Development and interact with Product Managers, Product Designers, Product Marketing Managers, and Support Specialists.,Lead by example and perform some hands-on coding in Java, Golang or Kotlin.,Contribute to wider organizational objectives beyond the strict scope of the role.

Experience leading a team of mobile developers through successful software projects.,Experience providing technical leadership to deliver solutions to complex problems.,Understanding of Agile software development.,Experience in creating processes for bug fixing and improving application performance.,Significant experience in previous success and failure (“scars”).,Adaptable and knows how to build, change, and adapt to the needs of a growing company.,Effective at nurturing relationships and managing multiple stakeholders.,Experience within a similar industry is helpful but not crucial.,Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle is helpful but not crucial.,Experience in mobile application development is helpful, but not crucial.

Must be willing to relocate to Auckland.
