This role focuses on integrating and driving financial planning, wealth transfer, and business planning for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients. It involves working with Financial Advisors to leverage their time and resources, supporting Private Client Group leadership, and acting as a resource for complex financial, estate, gift, charitable, business succession, and multi-generational planning. The strategist will also develop educational content and conduct client seminars and training sessions.
Drive adoption of financial planning and the RBC Wealth Planning Platform.,Generate or coordinate creation of proposals focusing on client's wealth transfer goals and objectives, including estate, charitable and business succession planning solutions.,Develop and promote sales ideas and effective business practices, working with advisors to identify opportunities and capture money in motion.,Deliver the RBC planning client experience to clients with significant wealth and complex needs.,Consult with advisors on complex planning cases, providing estate, insurance, business succession planning and trust reviews.,Conduct “point of sale” presentations with advisors.,Contribute and develop original thought leadership content for clients, media, Financial Advisors and the firm.,Conduct targeted training and development programs.,Assist, train and motivate Financial Advisors on key financial planning concepts and product solutions to gather assets of high-net-worth and ultra-high-net worth clients.,Proactively identify short and long-term business-building activities for individual FAs and teams.,Contact top producing FAs regarding new sales, prospecting and training ideas.,Develop and follow a regular communication plan to support Divisional Directors, Complex Directors, Branch Directors and target FAs.,Manage assigned territory and track and report weekly travel, business activities and CRM requirements.
Bachelor's degree in business or related field (advance degree preferred).,15+ years Financial Services industry experience.,10+ years of in-depth expertise in estate or planning products.,Securities industry licenses 7 and 66 (or 7, 63 and 65).,Experience with design and implementation of training programs.,In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and branch office/financial advisor responsibilities.,Knowledge of vendors and their products/programs.,JD and/or CPA (Nice-to-have).,MBA (Nice-to-have).,CFP, CPWA, CLU and/or ChFC designation (Nice-to-have).,Insurance Advanced Marketing experience (Nice-to-have).
