Description

The Senior Underwriting Coordinator role at RBC provides crucial support to Underwriting teams through efficient workflow management, including assigning new business and plan changes, and establishing initial renewal frameworks. This position requires prior Group Benefits knowledge to ensure the accuracy of inforce case information, aiding in the development and implementation of new business, plan changes, and renewals, while consistently meeting service level agreements and quality standards.

What We're Looking For

Candidates must possess 1-3+ years of experience in a related field. Key responsibilities include leading and collaborating with cross-functional teams, demonstrating exceptional attention to detail, applying a strategic problem-solving mindset to complex challenges, effectively managing competing priorities under tight deadlines, and maintaining a results-driven focus to exceed SLA and quality metrics. Curiosity, adaptability to change, and knowledge of Group products, plan design, and risk assessment requirements are also essential.

Ideal Candidate

Nice-to-have qualifications include exceptional verbal and written communication skills, underwriting knowledge, a strong commitment to delivering a best-in-class client experience, a mindset geared towards process improvement and idea generation, and expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Systems and Applications.
