The Fortnite player journey team at Epic Games is seeking a Senior UI Programmer. This role involves using C++ to design, implement, and maintain systems for live game services, integrate with backend services, and develop user interfaces using reusable data paradigms. The successful candidate will work on high-impact systems aimed at enhancing player socialization, content discovery, and ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience within Fortnite.
Design, plan, and implement new features with a systemic approach,
Write strong, robust, future-oriented code,
Optimize and debug flaws that may appear in old and new systems,
Integrate backend systems to support player experience,
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop cutting-edge features to enhance player experiences across Fortnite,
Work closely with backend developers to achieve service objectives and satisfy clients,
Work closely with art and design team leads to ensure the UI meets aesthetic and functional requirements
Exceptional C++ programming skills,
Experience developing features for games on multiple platforms,
Strong interest in social, frontend, and gameplay aspects of game development,
Interest in player safety and user-generated content selection,
Passion for games and exceptional user experiences,
Developed analytical mind, accompanied by strong problem-solving skills,
Experience developing with Unreal Engine, preferably
