Description

As a key member of CIBC Private Wealth Management, the Senior Trust & Estate Consultant collaborates to provide estate and trust solutions to CIBC clients. This role involves driving business growth and delivering estate and trust services in the assigned region, working with internal partners and external influencers with a proactive approach to growth.

What We're Looking For

Create and implement a regional business development plan to solicit new niches and promote CIBC Trust Company products and Private Wealth services.,Evaluate new business opportunities, identify potential risks, and provide mitigation strategies as needed.,Proactively recommend clients and beneficiaries to CIBC partners for wealth management services and solutions.,Actively seek partnerships with CIBC Private Wealth, Wood Gundy, and Imperial Service advisors, as well as local influencers, lawyers, and accountants, to offer estate planning services to high-net-worth clients.,Provide trust and estate services in the assigned region.,Offer trust training sessions to internal partners and participate in client seminars.,Stay informed about legislative changes, jurisprudence, and industry trends concerning trusts and estates to offer optimal solutions to clients.

Ideal Candidate

Demonstrated experience in sales and business development.,Knowledge of estate, trust, and power of attorney/guardianship administration.,Knowledge of laws and regulations related to estate and trust administration.,Over five years of experience in the estate and trust or financial services sector.,Post-secondary education.,Relevant professional accreditations such as Member, Trust Institute (MTI) or Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP).,A relevant professional qualification (LL.B., CA, CGA, PFA, CPF, financial planning course) is an asset.
