The Clearing & Custody Fixed Income Trader at Royal Bank of Canada focuses on achieving best execution for bonds for Financial Advisors (FAs) within a team-oriented environment emphasizing teamwork, service, responsibility, and integrity. This role contributes to a proactive risk trading team, driving productivity and delivering excellence through trade execution and idea generation for Clearing & Custody Financial Advisors.
Execute trades with a focus on best execution, managing risk within assigned limits across multiple asset classes.,Evaluate real-time financial market information to quickly and accurately assess market risk for optimal pricing.,Develop and distribute creative and timely market insights and ideas to Financial Advisors.,Proactively generate actionable ideas for FAs, including portfolio ladders, swap opportunities, and new money opportunities.,Build and maintain strong relationships within the Clearing & Custody retail network by providing high-level service.,Proactively pursue new trading relationships with C&C Firms and FAs.,Stay informed of changing compliance standards, maintain accurate records, and ensure all trades comply with regulations and policies.,Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience/academic achievement in Economics, Finance, or Mathematics.,Demonstrated knowledge of fixed income markets, economics, marketing strategies, and fixed income instruments, or a willingness to learn.,Proficiency with Bloomberg, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.,Ability to work and meet critical deadlines in a fast-paced environment, performing tasks from multiple sources under pressure.,Ability to quickly assess situations, react to market/economic conditions, and offer creative solutions.
Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or equivalent work experience.,Series 7, 66, & 52 licenses (or ability to acquire within 90 days).,3+ years in a Fixed Income environment with exposure to trading activity.,Prior experience with principal trading and RBC specific trading systems & processes.,Proficiency with the Tradeweb platform.
