Description

Epic Games is seeking an experienced Senior Tools Programmer to join the Unreal Engine UI Systems team. This role focuses on designing and enhancing the UI content creation pipeline, tools, and engine runtime capabilities for both Unreal Engine (UE) and Unreal Engine for Fortnite (UEFN). The position involves developing UI systems tools, including WYSIWYG editors, UI APIs/frameworks, and core runtime UI features, which will impact millions of users and players.

What We're Looking For

Own, develop, improve, and optimize the code for UI technology used in Unreal Engine's tools and in-game UI.,Collaborate with various disciplines (programmers, artists, UI/UX designers) to identify improvements and design solutions based on customer feedback.,Analyze and resolve common game engine issues, such as performance and memory usage problems.,Work cooperatively with multiple internal Epic teams.,Assist Unreal Engine licensees in overcoming their development challenges.

Hard Skills

Strong C++ skills

Experience working within large codebases

Experience designing and writing tools to improve user experience, iteration, and development time in game development or other fields

In-depth understanding of tools development, UI Frameworks, and runtime UI engines
