Senior Technical Specialist, Mainframe Operating Systems

Description

This role involves working within the Mainframe Operating Systems team to install and support z/OS products. The team is responsible for the evaluation, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of System Z operating system components and associated vendor products on all RBC Mainframe processors.

What We're Looking For

Responsibilities include installing and supporting z/OS mainframe products, primarily Netview/System Automation, liaising with various support teams and clients, researching and recommending new features, ensuring products are current, resolving problems promptly, developing criteria for third-party vendors, and providing expertise in mainframe product management and support.

Ideal Candidate

Must have 10+ years of mainframe experience installing and supporting software products, 5+ years of REXX coding experience, and experience with IBM TSO, ISPF, JCL, SDSF, Netview/System Automation, and SMP/E. A strong understanding of mainframe z/OS technology and familiarity with change management processes are also required. Nice-to-have qualifications include knowledge of SSL/TLS and certificates.
