Senior Technical Designer
Description
This role at Epic Games focuses on the design and implementation of game features such as characters, weapons, items, devices, and game mechanics within the Fortnite Ecosystem. The Senior Technical Designer will work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, external partners, and multidisciplinary teams to develop tools, systems, and content for Fortnite Creative and UEFN.
What We're Looking For
Create clear and concise technical design documentation.,Support design work across multiple projects.,Propose and present solutions where technical design plays a key role.,Collaborate with Gameplay Designers, Product Managers, and Design Leadership to address design challenges, brainstorm solutions, and prioritize actions.,Partner with Production, Design, and Programming teams to ensure clear communication regarding technical design tasks, priorities, and status.,Design, develop, and implement systems using both visual and written scripting languages.,Construct rapid prototypes and test maps for game mechanics and features.,Iterate on designs, prototypes, and features based on feedback.
Ideal Candidate
5+ years of experience in technical design.,Experience with Unreal Engine.,Experience with programming languages.
