Senior Systems Engineer, Treasury & Banking, SAP & Kyriba

This role is for a Senior Systems Engineer to join Moderna's Warsaw hub, focusing on revolutionizing medicine through mRNA technology. The individual will lead and optimize the integrated Treasury technology landscape, primarily utilizing Kyriba, SAP S/4HANA, banking networks, and other financial systems. Key responsibilities include driving modernization, ensuring compliance in liquidity management, cash positioning, bank connectivity, in-house banking, and FX exposure management. The role involves cross-functional collaboration with Treasury, Accounting, and external banking partners to deliver secure, scalable, and audit-ready digital treasury solutions, while also digitizing finance processes and accelerating operational excellence through automation. The position offers opportunities for certification sponsorship and exposure to generative AI tools.

What We're Looking For

Serve as solution lead and SME for Kyriba across core modules (Payments, BAM, Cash Forecasting, IHB, Cash & Liquidity Management, Risk Management, Financial Transactions).

Lead the delivery of secure and scalable SAP banking and payment solutions integrated with corporate Treasury objectives.

Oversee global bank integrations (SWIFT, host-to-host, API, ISO 20022), ensuring seamless SAP-to-Kyriba data flow.

Drive SAP module integration (FI-GL, FI-AP, Treasury, AR) with Kyriba for full bank reconciliation and clearing.

Design optimized workflows in Kyriba for liquidity planning, netting, FX hedging, and in-house banking operations.

Ensure Treasury system security through controlled user roles and compliance with SOX/GxP frameworks.

Translate business requirements into scalable Treasury technology solutions, manage testing, and build runbooks.

Maintain deep partnerships with Treasury, Tax, AP, and external banks for continuous improvement.

Lead the rollout of new Kyriba functionalities across global business units.

Support SAP payment hubs and manage new bank/legal entity integrations.

Enhance global cash visibility and support forecasting models.

Troubleshoot cross-system payment and reconciliation flows across Kyriba, SAP, and external banks.

Ideal Candidate

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Computer Science, or related field.

7+ years of experience supporting Treasury technologies in a global environment.

3+ years hands-on Kyriba experience across key modules (Payments, BAM, IHB), with experience in Cash & Liquidity Management and Risk management being a plus.

Strong understanding of SAP Financials (FI), payment processing, and bank formats (MT, XML, ISO 20022); hands-on experience with SAP Banking and Payment Solutions is a plus.

Experience configuring user roles and workflows in Kyriba or similar TMS platforms.

Experience integrating Kyriba with SAP (Preferred).

Exposure to cash pooling, netting, hedge accounting, and regulatory filings (Preferred).

Experience onboarding banks and configuring host-to-host or SWIFT connectivity (Preferred).

Ability to manage cross-functional rollouts across global Treasury and Finance teams (Preferred).

Practical exposure to hybrid SAP-Kyriba treasury solutions (Preferred).
